Warrior Software

Manual chapter

Installation and Setup

Install Fuel Warrior, complete onboarding, create or import your first vehicle, and configure initial defaults.

Install Fuel Warrior

Install Fuel Warrior from the App Store or TestFlight build provided for testing. Open the app after installation.

First Launch

Fuel Warrior can be used locally without creating a Fuel Warrior account. Setup focuses on creating or importing the first vehicle and selecting defaults.

Onboarding

Onboarding supports Manual Setup and Import Data paths. During setup, choose distance unit, fuel unit, currency, and fuel distance-entry behavior.

Adding the First Vehicle

Add a vehicle before logging fuel, records, or maintenance. Vehicle details can include nickname, year, make, model, VIN, fuel type, tank size, odometer, license plate, insurance details, oil type, notes, icon, and photo.

  • Nickname or year/make/model.
  • Current odometer.
  • Fuel type.
  • Preferred units and currency.

Importing Data

Fuel Warrior can import fuel logs from CSV, detect supported Road Trip exports, and restore Fuel Warrior backup files. Imports and restores show a preview before data is saved.

  • Keep a header row.
  • Confirm date, odometer, fuel amount, and total cost mappings.
  • Use Merge first unless intentionally replacing all local data.

Setup Recommendations

After setup, add one accurate odometer reading, choose a default vehicle, review Units & Currency under Settings > Vehicle Settings, configure fuel tags and visible fuel fields in the Fuel section, then use Settings > Sync & Sharing > Backup & Import to export a manual backup archive. Enable sync only after local data looks correct.
