FAQ
No Fuel Warrior account is required for local use. Optional sync uses iCloud. OCR parsing runs on device. Fuel logs store parsed values, not receipt images by default. Free users can store vehicle data, use one owned active vehicle at a time, use private sync, and export backup files. Pro unlocks unlimited owned active vehicles, OCR, advanced analytics, Family Sync, appearance customization, advanced record defaults, and priority support.
Glossary
Use these terms consistently across support articles, release notes, and future in-app documentation.
- Vehicle Package: a sync unit containing a vehicle and related logs, records, maintenance, and safe metadata.
- Archived Vehicle: a vehicle hidden from active workflows while preserving history.
- Family Sync: the Pro feature for sharing selected vehicles through CloudKit sharing.
- Private Sync: optional iCloud sync for personal data across a user’s own Apple devices.
- Backup Archive: a point-in-time .fuelwarriorbackup file exported from Settings > Sync & Sharing > Backup & Import.
- Owner: the person who controls vehicle metadata and sharing.
- Member: a person invited to a shared vehicle.
- Usable Vehicle: an active vehicle available based on entitlement and sharing permissions.
- CSV Package: a ZIP export containing app CSV files.
