Fuel Logging

Create fuel logs manually or with OCR-assisted capture, then use accurate odometer and fuel data for MPG and cost history.

Manual Entry

Fuel logs can include vehicle, date/time, odometer, fuel amount, unit, total cost, price per unit, station, fuel grade, filled-tank status, tags, notes, payment method, conditions, portable fuel, and reset-statistics behavior. Visible optional fields can be customized in Settings > Vehicle Settings > Fuel > Fuel Fields.

  1. 1 Tap Add Fuel.
  2. 2 Choose a vehicle.
  3. 3 Enter date/time, odometer, fuel amount, and cost.
  4. 4 Add station, filled-tank status, tag, and optional details.
  5. 5 Save the entry.

OCR Scanning

Pro users can scan a receipt, pump display, or odometer. Fuel Warrior recognizes text on device, classifies the scan, extracts values, and opens Confirm Scan so values can be reviewed before use.

Scan Detection

Supported scan classifications include Fuel Receipt, Pump Display, Odometer, Service Invoice, Registration, Insurance Card, and Tire Receipt. The fuel-entry flow primarily uses receipt, pump, and odometer values.

MPG Calculations

Fuel economy is calculated from saved fuel-log entries using odometer and fuel amount. Accurate results require consistent units and correct odometer readings. Full-tank entries produce the most reliable current MPG.

Partial Fills

Turn off Filled Tank for partial fills. Fuel Warrior keeps the entry but warns that MPG may be inaccurate until a later full tank.

Duplicate Detection

When saving, Fuel Warrior checks for an existing non-archived fuel log on the same vehicle and date with the same odometer, fuel amount, and total cost. If a possible duplicate is found, choose Save Anyway or Review Entry.

History

Fuel history lists saved logs and supports editing, archiving, and deleting where permissions allow. Archived fuel logs are hidden from active fuel lists and analytics.
