Manual chapter
Inspection Workflow
Start inspections, complete checklist items, attach evidence, collect signatures, and finalize records.
Dashboard
Use Dashboard for Start Inspection, Add Property, View Reports, Active Inspections, Recent Inspections, and Recent Properties. Dashboard cards link directly into inspection details and filtered lists.
Starting an Inspection
Start from Dashboard or Inspections, choose a template, choose or enter a property, choose an active inspector, confirm the inspector name, optionally enter a tenant or client name, then create the inspection. New inspections start In Progress and copy active sections and items from the selected template.
Status Rules
Inspection statuses are Draft, In Progress, Completed, and Archived. Completing an inspection sets the completed date and locks editing. Reopening returns it to In Progress. Archived inspections are read-only.
Checklist Items
Open sections and set each item to Unchecked, Pass, Fail, or N/A. Add notes for condition details and failed items. The progress summary counts checked items, percent complete, passed items, failed items, N/A items, and unchecked items.
Photos
Attach photos to individual checklist items from the photo library or camera, then add captions when useful. Photos are stored locally and included in PDF and ZIP exports.
Signatures
Capture inspector and tenant/client signatures with a finger or Apple Pencil. Signatures are saved as local PNG files and included in PDF reports when present. Reopen a completed inspection before replacing or deleting signatures.
Completion
Complete an inspection only after statuses, notes, photos, and signatures are ready. Completion locks checklist edits, photo changes, and signature changes, then generates a local PDF report.
